Habits That Matter- The Key to a Replenished, Thriving Workforce

Too many demands, too  little time. Few of us can say we don't feel it. Today's world leaves us overwhelmed, distracted, and disengaged. We're  always plugged in, we're always on, but we're not eating well, we're not moving enough, we're not sleeping well or enough, and we're not paying attention to the relationships and connections that make us happy. Simply put, modern life is depleting us. Our personal and professional lives are suffering, and companies are feeling it.

So how can you recharge your people so they can ignite your business? What will truly change behavior and turn this around? Science says it all starts with     better daily habits. Better habits across all areas of life that truly make us happy, productive and well: physical and emotional health, meaningful social connections, financial stability, and more. And the workplace is the perfect place to do this. To create a great place to work full of thriving, productive people, employers must provide the tools, the support, and the incentives to form healthy habits so they spread like wildfire - both at work and beyond.

Chris will discuss how to do just that. We'll focus on ways to help your people build better lifestyle habits, and why it's critical to your company's success.     We'll share examples of companies who are putting their people first, and the benefits they're seeing as a result. And if you like data, we've got great outcomes to share, too.

Learning objectives:
  • Why healthy habits are critical in combating the unintended consequences of modern life
  •
  • Which habits really matter and will have the biggest impact for your people and your company
  •
  • How modern technology can cultivate healthy habits
  •
  • Proven ways you can help your employees adopt healthy habits and create an engaged, productive, thriving workforce.

Leadership Matters:  Wellness starts at the top Presented by Larry Catlett, MD, CMO, owner of Occupational Medical Consulting (OMC).

For a workplace wellness program to be successful, leadership has a vital role to play. Such a culture can enhance a company's competitiveness, employee engagement, motivation, and morale and present the company as desirable place to work.

  • Why wellness needs to start with leadership (people follow their leaders' actions)
  • What business owners and executives can do to drive employee engagement and success
  • Learn what simple actions other executives are taking, and how it impacts their wellness results
