New Dimensions FCU is proud to announce that they not only met their 2019 goal of $35,000 in funds raised but exceeded it with a whopping $39,006.81. They began 2019 with a lofty goal but were determined to make as big an impact on their community as they could. They know that it takes a community working together to achieve big goals and as an organization that supports Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP), Special Olympics Maine, and MECUL’s Ending Hunger Campaign they believe that funding is imperative to each charity and the work that they do.
In 2019, they ramped up their fundraising efforts by planning even more events and fundraising opportunities so that they could reach their goal. They incorporated hashtag #TeamTeal into marketing and social media conversations as representation of their commitment to volunteerism and fundraising. They wanted to make a huge impact in the lives of people living in Maine but especially in the local area. Collectively they planned several soup days, a car show, bake sales, book sales, car washes, pallet nights, and so much more. When it was all said and done, they calculated the final totals and was astounded to find that they had raised $18, 198.77 for MCCP, $10, 759.43 for Ending Hunger in Maine, and $10,048.61 for Special Olympics Maine. This is a total of $39,006.81 to help children with cancer, people who don’t get enough to eat, and Special Olympics with their important mission.
New Dimensions is gearing up for 2020 with the same drive and dedication but would be remiss if they didn’t sincerely thank their members and the community for the support they have provided throughout the year.
