Thomas College invites applications for the position of Campus Visit Coordinator (CVC). Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the CVC is often the first point of contact members of the public have with the Admissions Office. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the coordination, communication, and execution of campus visits and tours provided to individuals and groups, coordinating with other departments on tour times, meetings with admissions, faculty, athletics and other staff members – helping to assure that visitors have a memorable and lasting experience.
The CVC maintains contact with visitors by actively reaching out and communicating before and after visits, and often assists applicants with the application process and providing answers to questions they may have. S/he is also responsible for the main admissions phone line and email, assisting with office procedures including inventory and invoice processing, and supports the admissions office with special projects as necessary.
A two-year college degree is required; four-year degree desirable. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills and the ability to participate in a team environment, while also working independently at times. S/he must possess strong problem solving skills, be a self-starter who is deadline driven, and be able to adapt to and manage multiple and changing priorities. Experience in a customer service focused, fast-paced environment desired. Efficiency with Microsoft Office products required. A valid driver’s license and successful driver’s license and criminal background checks are also required.
The ability to spend long periods of time on the phone, work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, and lift up to 40 pounds is required. This position may require standing for long periods at special functions hosted by the Admissions Office. Some evening and weekend work; professional dress required.
