The Peer Tutoring Coordinator administers Thomas College’s comprehensive peer tutoring program in keeping with known best practices and requirements for CRLA certification. The Coordinator also provides individualized academic coaching for designated students, especially first year students. The Coordinator functions as a part of the Student Success team, represents Student Success in the larger campus community, and supports both Student Success and relevant campus programming. The Coordinator is a full-time, 11-month staff member (August-June).
The successful candidate will have experience with peer tutoring, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as demonstrated abilities to coordinate with other departments in a positive manner and to respond effectively to dynamic situations involving students. The position also requires strong working knowledge of tutor program management, FERPA regulations, and CRLA requirements.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Some evening and weekends required.
