Hall-Dale High School’s Robotics Team is hosting a bowling event at Spare Time Recreation at 215 Whitten Road in Hallowell from 6-8 PM on Sunday, November 15th. The event is a fundraiser for REM Delta Prime Robotics Team #4473 and will include raffles, a bake sale, demonstrations of robots built by the robotics team, and of course, bowling.

Tickets cost $12 per person if purchased in advance from any team member or mentor, and will cover all costs of bowling throughout the fundraiser. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. Keep a lookout for their next bowling event this December 4th. For more information visit www.deltaprimerobotics.com.

Delta Prime is a member of FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), an international high school robotics
competition that gives students real-world engineering experience. FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors.

It’s as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Delta Prime needs to raise over $20,000 each year to enter and participate in the competitions, many of which are out of state. Local businesses and
individuals can help by sponsoring the team. For more information contact lead mentor Karen Giles at .

Cost: $12 per person in advance or $15 at the door.
