The Bond Brook Tread Fest is an all day festival with trail running and mountain bike races, kid's events, food, beer, music and fun!

The Bond Brook Recreation Area is a 17 mile trail system for hikers, mountain bikers, Nordic skiers, snowshoers, bird-watchers and trail runners on 268 acres of city owned land right in the heart of Augusta, stretching from Bond Brook to the airport.  It is free and open to the public.

Day to day access is through the back of Mount Hope Cemetery on Winthrop Street, adjacent to the Public Works Facility on North Street and an access road on Bond Brook Road off of Civic Center Drive.

For the Tread Fest and other events held at Bond Brook the best way to access the property is through the trail road off of Bond Brook Road onto Tall Pines Way.

Schedule:

Trail Runs and Dirt Duathlon –  Check-in/Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.  with race start time of 9:00 a.m.

Mnt. Bike Races – Check-in/Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with race start time of 12:00- Expert, 12:05-Sport and 12:10-Novice

Kids Race – Start times – Trail Run – 11:00 a.m. / Bike Race – 11:15 a.m.

Registration cost:

• 5k –  $20, $25 on race day
• 5 mile – $30, $35 on race day
• USATF Maine Trail Championship – 5 mile (must be a USATF member) – $30, $35 on race day

• 7 mile – Novice – $30, $35 on race day
• 14 mile – Sport – $35, $40 on race day
• 21 mile – Expert/Pro -$40, $45 on race day
• 21 mile team (3 person) – $60, $75 race day

Dirt Duathlon
5 mile run followed by a 6 mile bike ride – $40, $45 on race day
