The Maine Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Standards is hosting its no-charge safety courses for employers and employees throughout October. Visit the http://www.safetyworksmaine.com/training/scheduled_classes/register.shtml">class registration page or call 1-877-SAFE 345 (1-877-723-3345) to register for any class.

“Our SafetyWorks! program continues to educate businesses and employees about the importance of safety and health at the workplace,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “Each month staff can attend one of our no-cost classes. Employers can also reach out to our consultants for an on-site training or confidential consultation. Visit SafetyWorksMaine.com for a list of upcoming classes and other resources.”

Courses are held at no charge to employers and their employees in the SafetyWorks! Training Institute at the Maine Department of Labor, 45 Commerce Drive in Augusta unless otherwise noted.

The program trains about 8,000 people and consults at nearly 1,000 worksites in Maine each year.
