Join us while we learn about the basic principles of Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and philosophy. This class is not a religious one and everyone is welcome. We will discover how to end our suffering and achieve happiness through understanding the inner workings of our mind.
Class is led by Ani Jane. Ani Jane took refuge in the Sakya tradition in 1996 and in 2006 received her vows of ordination. She has studied many of the great treatises of Buddhism and has received empowerments and transmissions in lower and higher yoga tantras.
Class will begin with a short lecture, followed by guided meditation, group discussion and more meditation sessions. There will always be time for questions and discussion. We will learn and practice different forms of Buddhist meditation: Shamata (calm abiding), concentration, analytical, Tong Len (giving and taking), Mantra and more.
Classes are FREE, however donations are welcome with a suggested donation of $8/class. If you can't give this week, don't worry, just come and join us anyway. Please arrive on time, however if you are late please enter quietly.
