"Crucial Conversations in the Era of COVID-19" with Patrice Putman, former attorney with Levey, Wagley, Putman & Eccher P.A.

About the Webinar
COVID-19 has resulted in many hard changes. Loss of income, the inability to be with friends and family, the politicizing of masks, the possibility of a grave illness and even the possibility of death requires all of us to have hard conversations that we may feel unprepared for. This program will provide participants with a few Crucial Conversation skills that can help those hard conversations go a little easier and be a little bit more successful.

About Our Speaker
Patrice Putman put herself through college and law school by working as a Registered Nurse at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She moved to Maine 30 years ago and for 10 years was a staff attorney and then community relations manager at Maine DOT. She then spent 15 years as a Director at MaineGeneral where she oversaw a cultural shift largely based on honing the skills necessary to have hard but productive conversations. While at MGH she became a national speaker on improving employee satisfaction through Crucial Conversations. Patrice returned to the legal profession working the last 10 years as an attorney with Levey, Wagley, Putman & Eccher. Her proudest professional achievement was orchestrating a major change in the way Maine’s probate courts dealt with private information in guardianships & conservatorships. Private medical, social, and financial information that had always been publicly available through the probate courts is now protected in large part due to Patrice’s outrage and tenacity (or just plain stubbornness).
