Cell Phones for Soldiers

During November, American Legion Post 205 of Augusta, and more than 30 businesses in and around the city, encourage businesses and residents to recycle unused, outdated and broken cell phones by donating them to their "Cell Phones for Soldiers" program. The drive makes it possible for military personnel to stay in touch with loved ones and donating your old cell phones is an easy, meaningful way to support troops and help protect the environment by keeping toxic metals cell phones contain out of landfills.

Locals can drop off their old phones anytime during the month at the following sites:
