“Relaxing by Day, Rocking by Night” Free Concert, Art Walk, Great Outdoor Venue, and River Watching Food, Art, Jewelry, and Souvenirs for Sale ~ What’s Not to Like?

The First Ever Hallowell Woodstock Revival and Art Walk will be held on Sunday--August 16, 2015--from Noon to 6 pm. It will be held in Granite City Park on the banks of the beautiful Kennebec River at the north end of Water Street, in Hallowell, Maine.

The Hallowell Area Board of Trade (Hallowell.Org) is organizing this exciting event, and most Hallowell businesses will be open on that Sunday to accommodate the concert-goers. Major
Sponsors, (Tie Dye) are Joyce's, Easy Street Lounge, The Quarry Tap Room, and The Wharf, all located on Water Street in Hallowell. Each of these venues will be open to concert-goers to quench their thirst or feed their bellies. Our Hemp sponsors include Boynton's Market, Slates Restaurant and Bakery, The Liberal Cup, Hallowell House of Pizza, Blue Marble Geographics, Pinnacle Tree, Chris
Walters Productions and Combined Benefits United who have all been very generous in their donations. Without these sponsors our event would not be possible, and we really appreciate their support.

A Piece of Peace To benefit the Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers

Unique bandana flags will be offered for a donation of $2 on which donors can write personal messages of peace and love. The Hallowell Area Board of Trade has purchased several hundred bandana flags to support this fundraiser. These will be tied together and displayed as a symbol of the spirit of peace and love of the original Woodstock. The Piece of Peace fundraiser will help support the Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanders, reminding us all about this great organization that has been serving Kennebec County since 1899.  http://www.mainechildrenshome.org

Music  - Bob Colwell, of the Root Cellar from 2 pm to 6 pm

Recording Studio, in Hallowell, is producing the show with music from the 1969 Woodstock extravaganza. Each “Woodstock act” will be introduced, then join the house band; a professional sound-man will tie it all together! With about 4 hours of music and many vendors and artists, there should be something for everyone.

Vendor and Art Walk

The Maine Tater will be setting up their retro style food trailer, featuring Maine potatoes and many other snacks for concert-goers. Artists and local merchants will be set up in the park for easy
access by festival attendees.

This is a family event, and we encourage you to bring blankets and chairs to get comfortable, enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of a Maine Summer day, with some fabulous live music along the
Kennebec River! As many of us already know, Maine is just beautiful this time of year!
