Central Maine Egg Festival Events

The Central Maine Egg Festival Committee and the Town of Pittsfield are pleased to welcome our many guests to the Annual Central Maine Egg Festival. The Town of Pittsfield is home to the Egg Festival. A quiet industrial community of less than 5,000 people, Pittsfield welcomes more than 35,000 visitors each July. Just a few highlights: Monday, July 13 features live concerts at Hathorn Park; Tuesday, July 14 features an Art Show, Sidewalk Art Contest & Street Dance; Wednesday, July 15 features Egglympics; an Art Show; and live music at Hathorn; Thursday, July 16 features Window Painting; Open Houses; Marketplace; Kiddie Parade; live music; and Kiwanis Karnival; Friday, July 17 features Quiche & Cheesecake and Marketplace; and Kiwanis Karnival; Saturday, July 18 features an Early Bird Breakfast, The Big Parade; Kiwanis Karnival; contests; lots of great food; live music all day and our famous fireworks at night. Events are held at Manson Park and other locations in Pittsfield, This is the event of the year in Pittsfield and the region. Founded in 1973, the Egg Festival was designed to celebrate the egg industry in Central Maine and complement the already popular Kiwanis Karnival. Though the egg industry has all but left the region, the Festival remains stronger than ever. The Festival prides itself on providing a venue for area non-profit groups to come together and fundraise for their programs. There is something for everyone at this very friendly event!
